The Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Use of Health Claims in Food and Food Supplements was published in the Official Gazette dated 23 August 2023 and numbered 32288.
On August 23, 2023, the Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Use of Health Claims in Food and Food Supplements was published in the Official Gazette numbered 32288.
As per the amendment;
- Use of health claims on products which are not included in the annexes of relevant guidelines has been prohibited.
- The transition period for amending the health claims on the products which were produced before the publicaton date of the Regulation but not released to the market or contracted to be produced before the publicaton date of the Regulation and which do not satisfy the conditions in the Regulation have been extended to one year. The said health claims will be subject to use until December 31, 2024.
